Everybody that sees this - u better read it coz it haz sum important stuff in it. All the parents who brought their children here in reception have made a good, good choice because, although some of your children may come home to you and u ask them how was school and they say "Oh well, I got a detention by Mrs. Meredith or Miss Miller." But that is because they have done something wrong, so dont go 'avin a go at the teachers lol x

Hello Echelford, People who are looking at this site reading these comments right now, can I give you some advice? Please bring your children to Echelford Primary School because it is the best school you could ever go to. I think we have over 600 + pupils at our school and it's the best school I've ever been to. I'm in year 6 but I don't want to leave to year 7 because I'm going to miss all the bright colours, the big school, all my friends, all my teachers especially one special one! Mr. Wilson, our head teacher, he's the best head master I could thinnk of. He's funny at times. He is just the perfect head master and im proud of it! Thank you Mr Wilson for being the best head teacher for 35 years I think or 25. I'm not sure but keep it up because I'll be coming back when I'm in my work experience and I want to see you. : ) from Nicole
| Emma Burrows | 05 January 2009 14:50:02 |
I was at Echelford 4 years ago, but I still remember it! I'm hoping to do work experience there, which would be weird acting like a teacher at a place where I was once a student. I played Charlie in Charlie & the Chocolate factory and I think Mrs Stevens still has the pictures... MRS STEVENS WAS THE BEST TEACHER EVER!

I was a pupil at Echelford from 1969 - 1972 and had a great time and made lots of friends. I have loving memories and affection for the school and still cherish the time I spent there. A lot of the things I needed for education I learnt there and it gave me a good start. Lol I still remember Mrs Dukes my class tutor, Mr Garage the music teacher, Mr Thwaite the headmaster, Mr Reed, Mr Hill, Mr Bently ,wow I can still remember their names. May God bless the school and the children who study there.

I just wanted to say how much we enjoyed "Mary Poppins". What a great production that was! Many thanks to everyone involved both on stage and behind the scenes. One of the things I like most about Echelford School is the staff's clear intention to develop our kids in a variety of ways....not just to improve their academic performance. Thanks also all you parents and PTFA members who work so hard to assist the school in meeting its objectives. I'm too lazy or too busy to do so myself!

Hey y'all! I miss it sooooo much there! You don't know how easy the lessons are! At Matthew Arnold you have French, German and really hard other lessons! Hold on to your times at Echelford because once you've left you don't know how much you'll miss it! Hope you all are ok!? Xxx

I just found the site and it brings back a lot of fantastic memories I have of Echelford. My time at Echelford ranks as of one of my most enjoyable experiences. The school productions were "FAB" (excuse the pun) and every schooltrip was truly memorable. I am currently living in Dublin studying Law at Trinity College Dublin. Please send my regards to the teachers of 96-99. Especially Mr Wilson, Mrs Sawyer, Mrs Cribb and Mr Bruce.

I was just browsing on my computer when I came across this wonderful website. Brought back such happy memories. I was a pupil at echelford in (ooooh) early 80's and loved every minute of it! Was a wonderful school to be apart of have such fun memories of fundraising, school trips(st marys Bay in kent where me and my family now live just down the road from) , discos and who can forget the wonderful school plays. I was in the production of Oliver and a brilliant play we put on about children being evacuated to the country during the war. Happy days, and nice to see that things remain the same. A big hello and thank you to Mr Wilson and all the teachers then that made me look forward to school everyday!!
| Josh Ames | 11 July 2006 00:00:00 |

I cant believe its nearly 3 years since I left Echelford!! My brother is still at the school and always comes home with exciting news - which I don't mind but always makes me wish that I could come back! The school I am at now is no where near as good as Echelford, and Mr.Wilson was a great Head Teacher and still is!! I will never forget the fun I had at Echelford!
| Laura Freeth | 23 February 2005 00:00:00 |
Hello everyone, I'm just sat at the computer during my free period at college with a group of friends. We all used to go to Echelford and agree that it was (and sure it still is) a great school. We're all off the University next year! Im doing a BA in Primary Education and believe that the main reason that I want to be a Primary Teacher is because of the great role models I had at Echelford. We all thankyou for the strong foundation you gave us all and hope the school every success in the future.

My 4 children went to Echelford from 1976 to 1986 and 2 of my grandchildren are now pupils - one in yr 6 and one in yr 3. All of them have been very happy with you and some of the teachers are still there (some have married and changed their names) but still remember my children!!! Keep up the good work with Mr Wilson as the head - (he hasn't changed one bit!). Best school in Ashford and surrounding 10 mile area.

The school is really good ,and the staff are excellent
| Sue Day | 26 March 2004 00:00:00 |
Mr Wilson, you have done it again. You, your staff and all the children that were in the recent Hoodwinked have once again put on a marvellous spectacle, a colourful, talented and exciting play. Whils I am slightly biased as my niece Zoe was playing Maid Marion, I thought the efforts of all the lead characters were superb. You really have some future stars in the school.
| laura turner | 20 March 2004 00:00:00 |
This is the first time I have been on this website and its GREAT! Thank-you Mr Wilson for the lighting in hoodwinked.

| Alexandra Dyos | 05 March 2004 00:00:00 |
This website is a little pocket of nostalgia - I'd forgotten about the house teams. I was in Centaur and very proud to be too! I'm very glad the school is still flourishing. Nearly ten years have passed since I left Echelford and I really do have some very fond memories. I find myself singing the songs from assembly and I love driving past Guildford Cathedral, it awakens the dusty passages of my memory and I'm a young girl in knee high socks attempting to sing in tune to the thwack of Miss Irwin's baton on the music stand! My passion for furry creatures began with Mrs Cribb and the rabbit shed. I'm sure my mum doesn't thank you for that, we ended up with 52 bunnies at one point! All too often, the education system is the recipient of criticism so I'd like to say thank you to all those teachers whose advice I still use today, Miss Irwin who was just wonderful, Shirley Tibbits whose voluptuous handwriting I still aspire too, Dave Bruce, Mrs. Hershcell (aerobics - the song Angelo) Miss White, Mr. Wilson who taught me to swim and to all the others whose names I have forgotten. Thank you!
| Ashleigh Mansell | 22 February 2004 00:00:00 |

Having finally got round to checking out this very good school web-site, and better late than never, I should like to say how very much I enjoyed the production of "Oliver". It took me back to the very first production I was involved in when I first began teaching at Echelford. I am so pleased that the school is able to continue to put on these productions. They were certainly one of the highlights of my years at the school. We, that is the staff and the children, had such fun doing them although it was extremely hard work ! You are fortunate in having the staff to be able to carry on the tradition which we started. Hello to all those pupils who remember being involved when I, Dave Bruce, Frances Irwin, Sue Sawyer, Ellen Marshall "et al" were there.
| Mrs Y L Tree | 04 August 2003 00:00:00 |
